Thank you for the overwhelming support and heartfelt messages during these difficult times. It is very much appreciated. If you would like to donate please see the link below. The donations will be managed by myself, Jason Nalewabau, and distributed to help the local Fijian villages.
Our dive boat, Alacrity, was luckily in Suva during Cyclone Harold. Alacrity will now have her seats and canopy cut out to make more space for cargo. Working within the Fiji navy and COVID-19 guidelines, she will be used for sending supplies to and from Kadavu.
We plan to quickly make several trips to villages in and around Ono Island. The objective is to get simple, much-needed supplies there quickly. A list of needed items will be generated with direct input from those on the ground. The first village is Narikoso with Joana Tuisawaqa co-ordinating the list of needed supplies.
We start Wednesday, April 15th, and will keep going until the job is done.
These funds will be allocated to local villages, not Mai Dive Resort.
